Help Borderless Magazine hold Trump and those in power accountable by supporting our nonpartisan reporting.
Borderless was born during Trump’s first presidency. We need your help to hold Donald Trump accountable in his second term.
On Jan. 27, 2017, just days after Trump took office for the first time, he enacted the Muslim Ban. The executive order barred people from seven majority-Muslim countries from entering the United States for 90 days.
I remember lying on my couch in my Chicago apartment, pregnant and exhausted with morning sickness, listening to local outlets try to cover the ban.
For me and so many others who count immigrants as our family members and loved ones, the attacks on immigrants felt personal. And as misinformation and racist rhetoric spread, our news outlets were failing to report fact-based journalism that centered our community’s stories.
Borderless’ predecessor — 90 Days, 90 Voices — was born from the need for nonpartisan reporting that centers the voices of immigrants. We’re committed to that mission now more than ever.
This week, as Trump was elected president again, we are strengthened in our resolve to hold those in power accountable through our reporting. Trump has pledged to deport millions of immigrants in his second term, along with restricting the number of asylum seekers we welcome to our country.
Our work at Borderless fighting misinformation about immigration and holding elected leaders and corporations responsible for how they treat immigrants is more important than ever.
We need your help meeting this moment.
Your support will help us continue to produce the kind of nonpartisan and nonprofit journalism you won’t find anywhere else.
Bring power to immigrant voices!
