🎨Thurs. Nov. 10, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. The Little Village Environmental Justice Organization (LVEJO) and the Mobile Street Art Cart Project are holding a series of art activities and information sessions where neighbors in Little Village can design their own coloring sheets and draw what environmental justice looks like to them. The next session will be held at the Toman branch of the Chicago Public Library (2708 S. Pulaski Rd.)
📚Fri. Nov. 11, 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Join author Diana Solís, whose work was featured on Borderless, at the National Museum of Mexican Art (1852 W. 19th Street) for the official launch of her book, Luz: Seeing the Space Between Us. Doors open for this free event at 6 p.m. In addition to the book, black and white posters and postcard sets will also be available.
🛍️Sun. Nov. 13, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. South Chicago’s monthly thrift event is back! Shop for art, food, décor and clothes at Thrift & Thrive / Mercado Abierto held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish (3200 E. 91st St.) or register for free as a vendor to sell your own products or secondhand goods.
