May 19, 20, 21 – 🍜 Check out the more than 30 restaurants participating in Chicago’s inaugural AAPI Restaurant Week. Restaurants will be offering special deals and prix fixe menus.
May 21, 22 – 💃 Celebrate over two dozen different cultures at this weekend’s Skokie Festival of Cultures. The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Oakton Park in Skokie.
May 20, 21 – 🇵🇸 The Chicago Palestine Film Festival presents nine films by Palestinian directors and about Palestine. Films are both online and at the Gene Siskel Film Center.
Tuesday, May 24 – 🌮 Get free tacos, a COVID vaccine and help signing up for Illinois’ Medicaid expansion at “Let’s Taco About Health” in Bolingbrook. (Register for your COVID vaccine or booster ahead of time.) The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Fountaindale Public Library.
