A running list of events held by Chicagoans to build solidarity with and awareness of the ongoing war in Ukraine

On Thursday Feb. 24, Russian forces invaded Ukraine in what Russian President Vladimir Putin announced as a “special military operation.” As missiles and air strikes continue to destroy Ukraine’s infrastructure and create another refugee crisis, anti-war protests have erupted in cities around the world, from St. Petersburg to London to Paris.

Several are also happening in the Chicago area, which is home to 100,000 people of Ukrainian ancestry. Find details to rallies, fundraisers and other events below:
