The Mayor\u2019s Office <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ChicagoMPO\/status\/2017719751150018685\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">responded<\/a> on social media, saying Burke\u2019s chief of policy reviewed the executive order\u2019s language.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do not provide legal approval of any matter until we\u2019ve reviewed it,\u201d Burke said in a statement. \u201cOn such a critical issue, it\u2019s important we get it right.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The city\u2019s press release on the executive order includes a statement of support from Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, who has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/local\/philly-da-to-unveil-nationwide-coalition-to-prosecute-ice-agents-who-break-laws\/4341007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">spearheaded efforts<\/a> for local prosecutors to hold agents accountable.
